Don't mind the fact that it is dark outside, I swear I wasn't sneaking around having my husband take my picture by the bus!
Starting the day. You can see in the background large wooden tables where people signed their names and wrote messages. I left one from the Walker's; hopefully I'll be able to find my note once it is in its final place.
Pulling stakes for pouring concrete was my first job. Those things are heavy!
I think this will be the memorial walkway.
One of the new playgrounds.
The basketball court
James and Tessa stopped by say hello.
Had to clear this whole slab so that they could repave. Now THAT will build your muscles.
Cleaning the decks and sweeping up.

House #6 (Don't have 7 for some reason)
James came by to peek through the gates.
Wooden map that allowed all the volunteers to mark where they are from. Since I'm living in Joplin, I traced mine back to MI
Paige and Michael
Someone finally suggested we use this little front loader to fill our wheelbarrows. Genius!
Mulch time!
Front of Boomtown coming together.
Volunteer wall - you could leave a note or message. Initially these were all layed out at the check-in table so I tried to find my signature once it was put together. I didn't, got frustrated so wrote another note!
I sanded the pieces for the city hall building.
I helped deck this whole structure.
Tribute garden for the volunteers. I'll take photo in daylight.
Pieces of debris found scattered around Joplin made into 3 pillars around the garden.
So grateful to have helped as much as I did. Thanks to Gigi, Papa, and Travis for watching the kids so that I was able to volunteer almost 24 hours in 4 days.
